The architectural typology of courtyard houses and its beneficial characteristics has transcended cultures and generations and found its way back into contemporary residential layouts courtyards became an essential feature of Arab and Islamic architecture, highlighting the need of an enclosed-yet-open area in residential architecture.

This home features a series of courtyard spaces, nestled within the architecture, that ensure protection from the outside world which offer a series of external living areas for congregation and entertaining as well as contrasting intimate moments of calm and respite around the home.

Incorporating an alchemy of texture, materiality, shape and pattern that feels effortless and chic; the use of  hushed palettes of blush tones and terracotta along with perches for reading and lounging, this peaceful nest mutes the world outside.
